Privacy Policy

We take this seriously. If you have any concerns about how we're using your data, you can tweet us about it @govluv - straight from this page or your own client. This is what we do:

• We collect and disseminate information that is publicly available via Twitter. Here is Twitter's privacy policy.
• We collect addresses for two uses only:
1. To display a list of your elected representatives.
2. To properly display your account as a constituent of the electoral districts that you reside in.
• If information that is being displayed is inaccurate or you would like it removed, please follow these simple steps:
1. If it is an address, simply change it in the box that it displays in on the upper right corner of every page. Make certain that you are logged in for this to take permanent effect.
2. If it is information from your Twitter account
1. Sign out of GovLuv.
2. Update your information on Twitter.
3. Sign back in to GovLuv, and it will automatically update.

• We never have your Twitter password. When you first login to GovLuv or tweet from the interface, you will be redirected to Twitter's site to give permission for GovLuv to access you information and tweet for you. This is Twitter's recommended method of authenticating Twitter accounts and is the best way to protect your privacy.
  
• We do not send tweets from your account without your explicit permission. If you see a link that says "tweet", then that means you'll be tweeting. We hate it when sites tweet without making it absolutely clear.
